redenvelope.com gifts

August 25, 2010

Ok, so I love redenvelope.com. It makes me feel warm and happy every time I surf, looking at all the little goodies there- oh, that would be nice for my sister-in-law Lorelei or my little sister Ivy might love that– hey, look! A beer holster for my father-in-law. I feel like a perfect domestic goddess while I’m here- oh, I can take that to Danielle’s dinner party next month- perfect hostess gift.

You get the picture.

So, without further ado, here are my fave items from redenvelope.com:

We all have that strangely stylish girlfriend or sister that would wear this copper and enamel pheasant pendant and chain and pull it off like nobody’s business. The pheasant is also a Chinese symbol for light, virtue and good fortune. $49

Yes, those are superhero postage stamp cuff links. Office jobs suck- let’s put it simply. How much would your little brother love it if he could look down at his respectable french cuffed shirt in his cube and see the masked man of mystery? $89.95

What an adorable and thoughtful gift for a wedding or a wedding shower or the birth of a baby or adoption! I love the two-panel design and it looks like it would hang very well. The leaves and picture frames are adhesive and are stuck to the tree as you wish- the set comes with 40 leaves and 40 frames. $59.99

This candle is really, really big and really, really gorgeous. “Crafted entirely of wax, the outside features delicate branches with hand-painted cherry blossoms in relief. Inside is a two-wick, unscented white candle; as it burns down, the exterior becomes illuminated.” $49.95

Seriously, these are super cute and super unique. They’re made from 18th century wax letter seals and cast into sterling silver. Offered in Carpe Diem (seize the day), Lion and Sword (courage and justice) and a Fox (a symbol of wit and wisdom). $99.95

This pair of ten-inch-tall silver candlesticks would be a sparely elegant centerpiece surrounded by low tealights at an intimate dinner party. Their lines are just gorgeous, either together or seperate. $39.99, originally $49.99

Five adorable market bags with the smiling faces of our friends at Sesame Street: Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Grover, and Oscar. $39.95
