Steampunk Clothiers

July 30, 2010

H. G. Wells would be proud—steampunk fashion has emerged from relative obscurity.

Steampunk is a loose term used to describe an extraordinary fashion trend. By remixing styles from the Victorian era, classic Goth, gypsy, and industrial fetish, steampunk fashion creates a unique and beautifully disturbing look.

Although I cannot afford to shop at these two stores, I find them to be the best example of Steampunk Style. Happy Shopping!

Victorian 2 piece traveling suit. In Navy, Olive Green, Rust and Wine silk duponi. $320

Mad Tea Party Lace blouse in white or black. $36.95

These calf height boots are handsomely crafted for adventure and danger. $59.99

When you make an appointment with Clockwork Couture to come visit their showroom, you will be treated to a visit worthy of the Queen herself. Expect full tea service and biscuits, a private seating area and fittings by their own staff to see to you privately.

A really stunning ensemble, comes complete with hoop skirt and petticoat. This ensemble can me made in black pinstripe suiting fabric or plain black suiting fabric.

Gallery Serpentine is on the ground in Sydney and in Robertson, Australia.
